Location and Growing of Wine |
| Our vineyards stretch along carefully selected southern and south-western slopes of the Jeruzalemske gorice hills, which stand out as Slovenia's top-notch winegrowing region. Taking into account the region's microclimate, the individual varieties of vine have been planted in the preferred areas of cultivation for them. Our selection of vine varieties thus includes the most acclaimed European varieties, which the Jeruzalemske gorice winegrowing hills and their wines have been famous for for centuries (at the end of the 19th century Beli Burgundec (Pinot Blanc) from Jeruzalem – Svetinje was considered Europe's most esteemed wine).
The quality of our wine is further enhanced through our intentional reduction of grape yield per vine. In this way, we establish the conditions for producing wine of the highest international quality already in the vineyard.
Each variety of our wine breathes the fragrance of ripe grapes from our vineyards in Jeruzalem, Svetinje, Cerovec and ŽerovinÅ¡Äak. The distinctive features of our wines relate to the vintage and variety as well as the fruitiness and the unparalleled pleasant succulence of the wine's acidity so typical of our Jeruzalem vineyards.
